BAME Pledges 21st May 2007

1. I pledge to be a champion for multiculturalism and celebrate Black and Asian Britons

2. I pledge to build the Labour Party to be a vibrant and diverse party which reflects our community

3. I pledge that my slogan will be ‘4 times more’ – to get 4 times as many Black and Asian MPs and Councillors

4. I pledge that the Black and Socialist Society will be my Deputy Leader advisory committee

5. I pledge to promote our Black and Asian MPs to be ministers so that they are in the spotlight and not in the shadows

6. I pledge to recognise and support remittances - so that hard-earned money sent to families abroad goes further
