Yesterday I, along with Rushanara Ali MP and Mark Lazarowicz MP from my shadow international development ministerial team, met with Nick Roseveare the chief executive of BOND. BOND is the UK membership body for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in international development. It has 370 members from the biggest organisations such as Oxfam to many smaller organisations such as Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors in my constituency. These organisations are carrying out incredible work to help people in the developing world and we discussed how their work can be supported . This was also a good opportunity for the shadow ministerial team to set out our priorities for the year ahead.
