Campaigning in South Camberwell

One of the most important things for us in the Labour Party is that we hate racism and we stand for fairness and equality. We have to stop the BNP from winning an MEP in London.

On June 4th every voter in Southwark will have the chance to decide who represents them in the European Parliament. This election is important. On Saturday 9th May I was out campaigning with Mary Honeyball MEP and Labour Party members in South Camberwell Ward.

The BNP only need to win 11.1% of the votes in London for them to be guaranteed a seat. Just because they now wear suits does not mean that their ideology has changed - they are still the party of hatred and division.

The idea that people from Southwark could be represented in the European Parliament by the racist and poisonous BNP London MEP is terrible.

The more votes that Labour gets on June 4th, the less likely that it will be that the BNP will win a seat. Every vote really will count.
