Discussing the arts in Cardiff - 17/12/12

I visited the offices of the Arts Council of Wales in Cardiff for a roundtable discussion on the arts. The roundtable was chaired by the chair of the Arts Council, Dai Smith, and we were joined by Huw Lewis AM, Welsh Government Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage, and by Arts Council chief executive Nick Capaldi, Phil George from National Theatre Wales, Margaret Jervis from Valleys Kids, David Drake from Ffotogallery, Suzanne Hay from BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Hilary Boulding from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Hannah Jenkins from Community Music Wales, and Ruth Till from Rubicon Dance. I was then interviewed by a journalist, and you can read the article on Wales Online.

I also met Andy Richards, Unite Wales Secretary, and heard about Unite’s good work to protect jobs and living standards.
