My deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of 15 year old Temidayo Ogunneye who was killed in Camberwell yesterday. In this area the overwhelming majority of young people are decent, hardworking people who want to make the most of their lives. Local people are dismayed that once again senseless violence has cast a shadow over the area.

I am in close contact with the police and am strongly backing their call for witnesses to come forward and give any information which could help with their investigation. It is vital that those who committed this brutal crime do not get away with it.
