Last night I joined friends and colleagues at the Muslim Friends of Labour dinner. The dinner celebrates the diversity of the Labour Party and the contribution that the Muslim community makes to our party and our communities. I am proud of the contribution our six Muslim MPs make in the House of Commons as well as the work done by our Muslim councillors. Thanks again to Faiz Ul Rasool, the Host and Chairman of the Muslim Friends of Labour Annual Gala Dinner, for his work in making the dinner happen, and to Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party, who was the star speaker at the dinner.
