Meeting at the House of Commons to discuss progress on implementing the Coroner's recommendations for improving fire safety in high rise residential buildings following the end of the inquest into the Lakanal House fire. The inquest ended 6 months ago and I summoned the key authorities to outline what steps they have taken to implement the Coroner's recommendations. Attendees included: John McGrath, Liz Sibthorpe and Dave Lewis from the Sceaux Gardens Tenants and Residents Association, David Lewis and Tony Hunter from Southwark Council, Commissioner Ron Dobson and Assistant Commissioner Steve Turek from the London Fire Service, and Mike Wood from the Fire Sector Federation.
