Speaking on the Royal Charter on press conduct - 18/03/13

Today I spoke about the new system of independent press self-regulation underpinned by a new Royal Charter during the debate on the Crime and Courts Bill. The Bill includes some of the incentives designed to encourage publishers to join the new system, including exemplary damages and costs.
