It is heartening to see the nurses speaking up so clearly against the Tory/Lib Dem NHS plans. I will be meeting local GPs shortly to hear their views.
The Lane ward by-election will be on May 5th and campaigning is now in full swing. We are getting a good response on the doorstep but we must not take anything for granted and of course people expect to see us to ask for their vote. Camberwell and Peckham Labour Party is twinned with Gravesham in Kent which had a Labour MP till 2005 and which has council elections on May 5th. A group of us are going down this Saturday 16th April.
