Today I visited South Basildon & East Thurrock to see how the cost of living crisis has affected local residents.

Along with Parliamentary Candidate Mike Le-Surf I met with Chelsea, a young single mum in the area, who is struggling to cope with the government’s cuts to her living costs. We talked about how she was managing to cope with her ever increasing food bills, the rising cost of energy bills and the childcare costs of her young daughter.

I also met with local Councillors Keith Bobbin and Melissa McGeorge.
