I was pleased to welcome members from the Peckham Area Housing Forum to the House of Commons this morning. We discussed many issues including the gritting of the estates in Peckham. It is important that residents, especially elderly residents, are not trapped in their homes because of the ice on the pathways outside their doors.

I have raised this issue with the leader of the council and he has assured me that wardens have the addresses of people who may need help. He has also promised to get back to me about some extra grit boxes for the estates.
