Challenging the Government to explain school sports budget cuts - 15/12/11

Today, at Culture, Media and Sports Oral questions in the House of Commons, I challenged the Government to explain why they have cut the school sports budget by 64%. School sport is the bedrock of participation and should be a priority for the government. But as well as cutting the budget, they have also scrapped the School Sports Survey which tells us how much sport young people are doing in schools. They need to think again.
