Discussing my allowances with my local newspapers

Because I believe my constituents have a right to know what I spend on my work as MP, for many years I have published a breakdown of my expenditure in my annual report.

This week I met with both my local newspapers – the Southwark News and the South London Press - to discuss MP’s expenses and to show them all of my Parliamentary receipts since 2004.

My local newspapers report to my local constituents and I want to be accountable to them.
