The TUC Women’s Officers’ Summer School was set up 10 years ago with the aim to develop the next generation of women trade union leaders.
TUC unions are given the opportunity to select women officials to participate in a week long course which covers – pensions, bargaining, leadership, media skills and presentations from women general secretaries but also opportunities to engage with each other. I joined their reception in the House of Commons and spoke to attendees about the issues they face in the workplace, the campaigns they are planning and their experience at this years’ Summer School.
