This evening Yvette Cooper MP joined nearly 100 Camberwell and Peckham Labour Party members for a fundraising dinner in Camberwell. Over recent years Camberwell and Peckham members have warmly welcomed guest speakers including Neil Kinnock, Alan Johnson MP and David Lammy MP.

Yvette Cooper MP, Labour's new Shadow Foreign Secretary, gave her first big speech in her new role - it was a very interesting evening as well as fun and good food.

Yvette presented Joan Amodio a local party member with a merit award for her service and dedication. Joan has been an active member of the community in Southwark for many years, including being on the board of governors at Michael Faraday School for over 50 years.
