This evening I joined Jo Baxter, Cllrs Mark Glover & Nick Dolezal and council candidates Jamille Mohammed and Jasmine Ali to campaign on the doorstop of Gordon Road in Lane ward.
We chatted with local residents about the issues that are affecting them and the forthcoming local elections in May. The cost of living and energy prices were the big issues with residents saying that they are still struggling with rising prices. Housing repairs and maintenance issues were also mentioned as a problem and in particular the difficulties in trying to get the issues remedied quickly enough.
The ongoing dangers of cycle safety and the provision and support for young people in the area were also issues we discussed.
