Today I had Christmas lunch with the "Golden Oldies" in Walworth. It was good to speak to everyone there. Bridget and everyone who helps run the group do such a good job. Many of the members told me they were worried about the huge government cuts which are being planned, and what it will mean for their club - they are frightened that the council will no longer be able to fund them. Like me they did not think that it is fair that the government plan to cut Southwark's funding by 8.4%, whilst a rich area like Richmond is only cut by 0.6%.
