A roundtable of representatives from the creative industries across Exeter met today to discuss how the creative sector in the area is progressing and what they feel are the barriers to growth are in the city.  Issues raised included philanthropy, Exeter’s cultural strategy and increasing opportunities for young people working in the sector.  I joined the roundtable discussion with Ben Bradshaw MP, Susannah Shaw from Animated Exeter; Clare Saunders from Exeter Pheonix; Seth Honnor from Kaledier; David Lockwood from the Bike Shed Theatre.
