On Wednesday 23rd October I attended a House of Commons debate on the Greenpeace activists and journalists currently detained in Murmansk, Russia.  I spoke about my constituent Kieron Bryan, a freelance journalist.  I reiterated that Kieron is not an activist or a threat to the Russian state, and should be released immediately.  It was a well attended debate, with several MPs from all sides raising concerns, which underlined the strength of feeling on the situation.
