Going to Ghana

I am visiting Ghana later this year. Many of my constituents come from Ghana and the Ghanaian community is very important in Camberwell and Peckham, and in the rest of the country.

The programme includes a visit to a Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit and to a Plan UK project in Bawjuase working with disadvantaged children, their families and communities to tackle poverty and deprivation.

On Tuesday 17th February I met with some of my Ghanaian constituents to ask what they think I should be doing whilst I am there and what I should be looking out for.

It was really excellent to hear from local people what they think I should be doing when I visit their county of origin.
