Today Harriet Harman and Shadow Minister Mark Lazarowicz visited Islamic Relief which is working in some of the poorest countries of the world to alleviate poverty. The Shadow DFID team heard from Islamic Relief about their work  in the Horn of Africa, where they are helping the people there who are suffering from severe droughts.   They also discussed the importance of involving Diaspora communities in international development work and the ongoing humanitarian situation in Libya.
