Harriet Harman: Sakineh Ashtiani - "the international community

Labour's Deputy Leader and Shadow International Development Secretary Harriet Harman said:

“A year after the world expressed its horror at the sentencing to death by stoning of Sakineh Ashtiani she is still in jail and her fate remains uncertain. She must not be forgotten, the international community must keep the pressure up to ensure that she is freed.

"It is barbaric that in the world today women are still stoned to death, the world must speak out and save women from this horrific fate.”
