Labour launched their local election campaigns across the country today. I launched Derbyshire's campaign at Somerlea Park Community Centre, Alfreton with Cllr Anne Western, Leader of the Derbyshire Labour group and was joined by local members and county council candidates.

I spoke about the fact that it’s never been more important for people to have a Labour Council to stand up for them and to protect and improve vital services.

Following the launch, I took part in a door-knocking session in the area where people raised with me their concerns about the cost of living and pay day loans.
