Children at John Ruskin Primary School in Walworth were encouraged to stand for office today when I spoke to the school’s assembly for 8 to 11 year olds. I explained my role as the local Member of Parliament and congratulated pupils who have already been elected to the school's Student Council. I was joined by Cllr Dora Dixon-Fyle who also spoke at the school's assembly. Many thanks to Head Teacher, Linda Dickinson, Deputy Head, Clare Tayton, and staff for welcoming us to the school.
