I was proud that Southwark Primary Care Trust asked me to open this centre – and I am especially pleased that it has been built in the heart of a community which needs it most.
This is an excellent service which is open 7 days a week, including bank holidays, and has amazingly seen 3,500 patients walk through the doors since it opened 3 months ago.
What is so impressive and why I was so pleased to be asked to open the centre is that it serves the whole community. It is a great example of the Government’s investment in communities and our commitment to good healthcare provision for everyone – including people who are not registered with a GP.
I am also proud that this is the first surgery in central Peckham to have full time woman GPs.
