It was encouraging today to see the progress which has been made re-building the Aylesbury Estate. Residents have been waiting for years for the building work to start.

Today I joined Cllr Fiona Colley and local residents to see the first new homes which will be available for people to move into later this year. The flats are brilliant. I would like to pay tribute to Jean Bartlett, Tony Taitte and other local residents for all their hard work over many many years. We must keep pressure on the Government to ensure they maintain the commitment to fund this important regeneration.
