Reading Parents facing high childcare costs - 19/11/13

Reading parent

Reading parents expressed their views about the high cost of childcare, often preventing them from going back to work, at Wilson Primary School where I joined Labour’s candidate for Reading West Victoria Groulef.  Council candidate Debs Absolum, Council Leader Jo Lovelock and other councillors and party members came to survey parents and talk to them about Labour’s policies to expand free childcare for 3 & 4 year olds from 15 to 25 hours per week for working parents and introduce a ‘primary childcare guarantee’ giving all parents of primary school children the guarantee of childcare availability through their school from 8am-6pm.
