This evening I joined the leader of Southwark Council Cllr Peter John, Labour Party members and local councillors Veronica Ward and Stephen Govier at the South Camberwell ward Christmas party. Members have worked really hard this year knocking on doors and talking to people. With the Tories - backed by the Libdems - planning to cut benefits as well as police and schools - it is more important than ever that the Labour Party is out on the doorstep listening to local people's concerns and showing people we are on their side.
