The IPPR have launched a report looking at the lives of older women – balancing work and care. I spoke at the launch event about the Older Women’s Commission which has been set up to investigate the policy implications women in their fifties onwards are facing, and in the longer-term to find policy solutions.
The Commission was set up as there is a new generation of active older women who have led very different lives from their mothers. They are the first generation to have been “doing it all” and attitudes have changed.
