This afternoon I spoke to the Local Government Association Cultural and Leisure Officers Association Conference in Cardiff about Labour’s policy for culture, tourism and sport. At the event I joined councillors from around the UK including Cllr Sonja Crisp (cabinet member for leisure, culture and social inclusion, City of York), Cllr David Phillips (leader of the Labour group, City and County of Swansea), Cllr Simon Henig (leader of Durham County Council) and Cllr Caitlin Bisknell (leader of High Peak Borough Council) at an exhibition before my speech.
