Speaking to Camberwell Jobcentre staff concerned about Governmen

This morning I visited Camberwell Jobcentre to speak with staff about the Government's plans to close the centre.  I was joined by Dame Anne Begg MP, Chair of the Work and Pensions Select Committee, and Camberwell Green councillor, Cllr Emmanuel Oyewole.

I am totally opposed to the Government's plans to close Camberwell Jobcentre.  The number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance has gone up under the coalition government. And when more people are unemployed it is especially important that people have access to the services they need locally. I have written to the Secretary of State to explain why it is essential Camberwell Jobcentre stays open and I will continue campaigning against the Government's plans to close this vital local service.
