Today I joined Southwark Police officers and year 9 and 10 students from Harris Academy Peckham at a conference on gun and knife crime. I was pleased to have the opportunity to listen to the students about how they think we can best tackle gun and knife crime in our local community. The pupils raised concerns about how Peckham is portrayed in the media and how they feel more needs to be done with relations between police and young people.
