Today I visited the BBC's new HQ at MediaCity in Salford, as well as the Lowry arts development nearby and the People's History Museum in Manchester. As I say in the article below, MediaCity - and other creative enterprises in the area- are very important to the future of jobs and growth in the region.

This is true for other regions too. Labour wants to see an environment in which the creative industries can flourish across the country.
