This morning I went to King’s College Hospital to meet with King’s Chair Michael Parker and Professor Sir George Alberti who will be taking over from Michael as Chair in December.  I was pleased to meet Professor Alberti who was knighted for his services to Diabetic Medicine and is a former President of the Royal College of Physicians.  I am pleased that such an eminent replacement has been appointed to take over all the good work done by Michael Parker as Chair.
