I was very pleased to visit Charter School this morning and be shown around by the head Mr Sheppard and Ms Proctor one of the school governors. I spoke to some of the pupils and staff and am encouraged to see how well things are going at the school.
I spoke to students in the citizenship class and asked them if they became an MP what things they would change. Students said that they wanted more local sports facilities and more recycling. I have invited the class to come to the House of Commons to learn more about the work that MPs do and I am looking forward to welcoming them.
I also met with 6th form students in their study room and spoke to a student who benefits from EMA about its importance to her.
