Visiting the Rock School in Harlow

The Rock school, a youth music project in Harlow, provides a space for young people interested in rock music. The project provides young people with the space, and guidance on performing music, in both live and studio environments. I was joined by Suzy Stride who will be Labour’s candidate for Parliament at the next General Election and Emma Toals, Labour Party Council Candidate. We spoke to a group of people who have been coming to the rock school for a number of years about the impact of the recent council cuts to the project. It was also great to hear two of the young performers, Paige and Martin, perform a couple of songs at the Square. To hear the songs please visit http://soundcloud.com/paige-martin.

Following my discussions I was then interviewed by trainee journalist Michael Havis, pictured below alongside Suzy Stride and Emma Toals.
