This evening I welcomed new members of the Camberwell and Peckham Constituency Labour Party to a reception in my room at the House of Commons.  I was joined by Val Shawcross AM, the Leader of Southwark Council, Cllr Peter John and local councillors.

It was a pleasure to meet new members and let them know more about the Camberwell and Peckham Labour Party which is very active. I encouraged new members to get involved, whether it be attending branch meetings or coming out campaigning for London Assembly Member Val Shawcross and Labour's candidate for London Mayor, Ken Livingstone.
