Today I welcomed pupils from St Mary Magdalane School in Peckham to the House of Commons. Twenty-eight Year 6 pupils aged between 10-12 years old came to learn about how parliament works and what work Members of Parliament do.   I asked Speaker of the House John Bercow to pop in and speak to the class before they were then taken on a tour of Parliament and showed into the Commons and Lords Chambers.
