Progress held its first women’s conference, Winning With Women today as part of the ‘Campaign for a Labour Majority’. The conference took place at Camden town hall and brought together women from across the Labour movement to discuss women’s role in the Party. I spoke about how Labour is a proud champion of women’s rights, fighting for equal representation throughout society. Discussions then took place on what a future Labour victory would deliver for women and I was joined on the panel by Jessica Asato, Labour Parliamentary candidate for Norwich North, Johanna Baxter, Constituency representative on the NEC and Bex Bailey, Youth and Student representative on the NEC. The session was chaired by Florence Nosegbe, a councillor on Lambeth Council.
